Ricochet’s Army FIRES Structural Coat was developed to meet the requirements of the US Army.  The Structural Fire Gear was designed to provide protection from physical hazards, flame resistance, and a liquid barrier to protect against chemical and bloodborne pathogen exposures while limiting the heat stress and load on the wearer. The garments are certified to NFPA 1971, Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting.

Coat Features

  • Ricochet's Army FIRES Structural Coat - Maximum Mobility design turnout coat with bi-swing back and radial elbow construction for increased mobility and comfort.
  • Zipper front closure with hook and loop on flap
  • Standard includes 3" segmented, Lime -Yellow 3M™ Comfort trim in NFPA pattern • Two 9" x 9" x 2" half-high, hand warmer (fleece) pockets reinforced with Kevlar®
  • Survivor-style flashlight holder on the right chest • Radio pocket (8" x 3.5" x 2") with double antenna notch on the left chest
  • Mic tab on both the left and right chest
  • Enhanced thermal protection at the elbows and shoulders
  • American flag on right sleeve
  • Internal pocket (8" x 8") on thermal liner, plus liner inspection port.
  • Wristlets (8") with thumb holes and self-material reinforced cuffs.
  • Choice of trim color and option for lettering.
  • Option to include a hanging name badge (5" x 18"), including 8-10 letters, at the back hem.

Customization Options

  • Pioneer™ Gold 6.6 oz outer shell and a Synergy™ 2L with CROSSTECH® Black 2L liner system. 
    Composite provides performance results of: THL 279.30 W/m2, TPP39.3 before washing & 46.5 after 5 washings
  • Gemini™ Natural 7.5 oz outer shell and a Caldura® ELITE SL2i - 7.8 oz with CROSSTECH® Black 2L liner system
    Composite provides performance results of: THL 253.58 W/m2, TPP41.0 before washing & 49.3 after 5 washings

  • Reflective Lettering - Add up to ten (10) 2" Letters or eight (8) 3" Letters on back

  • Throat Tab - approximately 9" x 5", folds back on itself for storage

  • Removable Knee – Removable Ara-shield® knee Reinforcements

  • Search Pocket – pocket is 5" x 8" x 2", located on back of calf, with flap

Care and Use

This garment should be washed separately from other garments and all zippers or hooks & loops should be closed. For coats, the DRD should be removed. Machine wash in temperatures of 40° C or 140° F using the “Permanent Press” setting and using liquid detergent. Hang to dry. Do not machine dry. Do not use chlorine bleach. Discoloration of any component could possibly be an indication that protective qualities have been compromised. Clothing must be inspected after each use to ensure continued performance.
